Lorna Marshall, founder of The Planning Exchange
Meet Lorna

The Founder

Lorna Marshall is a Metro Detroit wedding planner with 18 years of experience helping couples plan weddings that feel personal, organized, and true to who they are. She founded her first planning business, It's Your Day, and later joined forces with Posh & Prim, a Metro Detroit wedding and event planning company, where she spent years building her reputation as a trusted planner and designer for full service weddings. That experience laid the foundation for her latest chapter, The Planning Exchange, where she now brings nearly two decades of expertise to couples and planners alike.

Lorna's leadership in the wedding industry includes serving as Vice President and Director of Events for the National Association for Catering and Events, Detroit chapter, along with recognition on The Knot's Hall of Fame and Best of Weddings lists from 2019 to 2024. Her work has been shaped by hands on experience with hundreds of weddings, giving her a deep understanding of what couples need from their planner and what planners need to grow their own businesses.

Through The Planning Exchange, Lorna continues her mission, plan with intention, learn with purpose, grow with strategy, serving Metro Detroit brides and grooms while building a growing community for wedding planners across the country.
